Safeguarding Heritage
The Consultancy is able to offer the services of Stewart Kidd, one of the world's leading experts on the subject of protecting heritage properties. He provides advice and assistance on all aspects of safety, security and disaster planning and with specialist expertise in improving the fire risks in such buildings. Recent work includes:

- The Hofburg, Vienna
- National Library of Scotland
- Historic Scotland
- The National Trust for England and Wales
- The National Trust for Scotland
The Consultancy however, also offers reasonably priced and realistic advice for smaller and owner-occupied properties. Recent projects have included major family owned Grade I and II listed buildings in England, Grade A and B listed buildings in Scotland and Grade II listed dwellings in England.
Our most recent projects involve work for Historic Environment Scotland in respect of the conversion of a building on a large Grade A site and a 25-year review and replacement of fire pumps at a Grade A listed building Scheduled Ancient Monument.
IN January 2018 we were awarded a three year contract to provide fire and security consultancy service to the National Library of Wales.
Stewart Kidd is the author of several Historic (Environment) Scotland publications including an Approved Code of Practice under Scottish building standards: Guide for Practitioners No 7: Fire Safety Management in Traditional Buildings.
